Transmission issue or not?

My Edge fuel mileage to tank is less than my SHO. Not sure if it is an issue but I don't like it. So I am dong a little ciphering, the trans does not go into 8th gear until at least 62/63 mph. I figured surely it would go in at 55 mph. Sure it is only maybe 300 rpms but at 110 miles a day every ounce counts LOL. Has anyone noticed this and addressed it or ??
Haven't put a tune on it yet but am looking forward to it

I drove my Edge ST to Harrisburg and back and got 26 mpg. My 2015 SHO got 26mpg. SHO is way faster but the Edge isnt as aero.
